Apples big iPhone
Steve Jobs is set to pull off another sensation with Apple’s new tablet computer.
Think of a massive iPhone/iTouch and it’s set to fill the gap between the iPhone and a laptop.
The lack of keyboard is the most notable concept of this new idea. A relatively small device which you’d be able to conveniently on the sofa as well as a business tool for demonstration purposes.
Rumours predict that the device will cost around £350, which is a little high when decent netbooks start from around £140 and do the same thing (with a keyboard), but then saying that, if it’s Apple it’s bound to be shiny and cool with an intuitive interface.
Great new idea, whether it will take on or not is another matter, but I do find the iPhone too small for normal browsing when I’m at home and I often can’t be bothered to fire up the laptop, so maybe it will fill that gap?
